Alt Text Visual Description: This card features an illustration of a witch standing on a broomstick that she is riding through a forest of tall coniferous trees. The witch is facing to the left, standing on the bristled end of the broomstick, holding taught reins that are tied to the front handle of the broom stick, which is also where a black cat is curled up watching out ahead. The Witch is wearing a flowing blue and pale green colored gown which is billowing out in the wind behind her, she is fair of complexion with long black hair also flowing out in the wind as she flies, and she must be very high up in the tall trees as there is a white owl catching the wind below her in the bottom right hand corner of the illustration. The moon illuminates all from behind the trees.

Ida Rentoul Outhwaite, 1888-1960, was a self-taught illustrator & author of several children’s books & collections of poetry about fairies, witches, magical creatures, & the wildlife of Australia, which was the land she called home. These tomes include The Enchanted Forest, Blossom: A Fairy Story, The Road to Fairyland, The Little Fairy Sister, Elves & Fairies, & many more!
